ReadySet is NAPLAN and ICAS practice for primary school children, set up and run by their parents. This page explains what we keep about you and your children, who else sees it, how long it stays, and how to delete it. Last updated 28 September 2026.
About you, the parent:
About your children (only what you or they enter; children never give us an email address):
We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your children's data to market to them.
We keep your sign-in token in your browser's local storage, and a sign-in cookie. A competition match in progress is also remembered in local storage so it can be resumed. Signing out removes the sign-in token.
We keep your account and your children's practice history for as long as the account exists, so the report can show progress over time. Short-lived working data (live activity, pre-built question sets, rate-limit counters) expires on its own within days. Database backups roll off within 30 days.
In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. You'll need to type your account email, and your parent PIN if you set one. Deletion is immediate and can't be undone.
Deleted: your account, sign-ins and sessions, your feedback messages, and each child only you have access to, with all their practice records, writing, reports, queued sets and competitions they started. Any active subscription is cancelled first. If cancelling fails, nothing is deleted.
Kept, but no longer linked to you: the question text in any "Report a mistake" report (it's about our content, not your child). A competition another child started keeps its record with your child removed.
Kept as-is: a child you shared with another parent stays in their account, since it's their data too; only your access is removed. Stripe keeps its own payment records, as tax law requires.
Your children's reports show their practice history, and you can rename a child in the app. To get a copy of what we hold, correct something else, or ask a privacy question, email admin@readysetprep.app. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For a significant change, we'll email you first.
